Born in England to Sudanese parents, Hashim moved to Saudi Arabia with his family at five and spent his formative years there before relocating to Canada when he was 17. Hashim studied Psychology at the University of Waterloo, where he discovered his love for kinesiology and the study of law after having taken electives in those fields. After graduating, Hashim obtained a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist designation and worked as a strength coach prior to attending Michigan State University for his law degree where he was on the Dean’s list.

Since having been called to the Bar in 2017, Hashim has been practicing real estate law, business law, estate planning, and uncontested family law matters. He has developed a reputation for taking a practical, realistic, and collaborative approach when addressing files, and his goal when assisting clients is to ensure that he understands their individual needs and expectations, and to treat them with the respect and attention they deserve.

Prior to joining Johnson McMaster & Jefferies, Hashim articled and practiced at a boutique firm. In his capacity as a real estate lawyer, Hashim also assists the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Enforcement Division during Sheriff Land Sales.

Hashim is happy to provide legal services in Arabic. When Hashim is not working, he can be found at the gym or spending time with his family and friends.
